Experimental Layout and Editorial Design, 2018


Tasked to create a zine surrounding a partciular movement,
I chose to design a feminist zine that barely resembled one. The intention was to blend into the crowd of sleek and minimalistic cover design popularised by certain lifestyle magazines, to suggest that feminism should be normalised and not viewed as rebellion as it is very much a necessity.

I chose three distinct articles about feminism with three very distinct tones. Each spread was designed specifically to embody each article while consistently integrating fluid lines to showcase the idea of social movement and progression in society, which is the english equivalent of the title ‘Gamaya’.
